NTC thermistor refers to negative temperature coefficient thermistor. NTC thermistor is made up of manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper and other metal oxides. There are many kinds of advantages, such as compact size, high accuracy, high stability, wide range of working temperature and so on. NTC thermistor can be used for temperature measurement and control, temperature compensation and so on.

ATH10KL2A is a kind of NTC thermistor, which is packaged with glass for long term stability &reliability. Figure 1 is the physical photo of ATH10KL2A NTC thermistor. This NTC thermistor has an extra small ring lug. Comparing with conventional assemblies containing epoxy encapsulated thermistors, ATH10KL2A NTC thermistor provides higher long term stability, higher reliability and wider temperature range. What’s more, it has a small size and short response time. Generally speaking, it can be utilized to measure the temperature of laser diodes and optical elements, etc.
