ATI developed and released a series of high voltage constant current laser drivers including ATLS1A212D, ATLS2A212D and ATLS3A212D, which can drive high voltage diode lasers or driving a serial of diode lasers simultaneously with high efficiency and low noise, and without heat sinks
ATLS212DLD1.0 is a load assembly, which is designed for emulating one or multiple laser diodes to evaluate a series of high voltage laser drivers mentioned above. This load assembly can also be used with the laser driver evaluation board ATLS212EV. Real laser diodes are expensive but vulnerable, so there is a need for dummy lasers, which use regular durable diodes. The maximum current is up to 100A for a short time, the maximum reverse voltage is 100V for each diode. This makes the load assembly almost unbreakable, which help avoid damages for users when they use the laser drivers for the first time and make some mistakes.
