The ATLS4A214D laser driver is an independent research and development product of ATI. The laser driver features that the power supply voltage VPS range is from 5V to 14V, the full swing output voltage is from 0V to 75% VPS (input voltage) and the maximum output current is 4A. And it also has a wide output voltage range, 0~15V, which can drive one or multiple laser diodes at the same time and also control the current (up to 4A) well.

As shown in Figuire 1, this driver has a small size and is packaged in a metal enclosure to keep from the incoming and outgoing interfences. As it has high efficiency (more than 90%), and generates a small mount of heat, so there is no heat sink needed during operation.
